My name is Avani Vinod, and I’m currently a freshman in the DO medical program at Michigan State University majoring in human biology and minoring in entrepreneurship and innovation. I aim to pursue a career in medicine and help those around me through being in the healthcare profession. As someone who grew up attending DMA programs and participating in them, it was such an honor receiving a scholarship from the association. I am extremely grateful to DMA for giving me such a wonderful scholarship which will help me pursue my future goals as well as help me to create a positive impact in my community.

My name is Deric Dinu Daniel. I am a freshman studying Computer Science at the College of Engineering at University of Michigan. Currently, I am part of the perception/computer vision team on MRover, a project team that builds a Mars rover for a competition every year. In the future, I wish to pursue graduate school and work in technology, making positive changes in the community around me. This scholarship, for which I am very thankful to DMA for, will help support me to achieve my goals, and I hope to pay it forward to our community down the line.
